My Style (1B)

As you could imagine there are many different styles to blogging, and the style reflects the bloggers’ personality. Some are mostly text with very few pictures and links. These tend to be full of information but not always the most entertaining. Others have little text but a lot of links and pictures. These are more exciting to read but tend to be less instructive.
Aside from the style of the posts the content and writing technique varied as well. Some were advertising on how to start a small business and others were just their own personal ramblings about random subjects. Personally I like a good balance of a few pictures with the majority of the blog being text, this way when you read you get a lot of information but at the same time it isn't a drag to read. However I also understand that the number of words isn't as important as the quality. People can write pages of vague meaningless text and get no point across, while someone else could write a few sentences and make a great statement.

To me a blog is all about information, if a blog lacks information it’s useless because even one that lacks pictures can still be successful. My goal as a blogger is to make a blog that is both very informative and decently interesting to read. I think a good balance for this would be one picture per major topic in each blog entry. For example in my entry entitled LOUD! I had two pictures because I had two major topics. One was relating to the fact I ask a lot of questions and need a lot of answers, and the other was in relation to the vocabulary from my chemistry class. I think if there isn't a balance of text and pictures the blog will either lack information or be so dull it’s never read.
